CARTOGRAPHY OF THE MIND
I relate a color to an emotion and throw down that shade in watercolor. I give it the multiplicity of randomness, the right to run in the grooves of the paper. I then go onto map out the details. Cartography of the Mind is a different Rorscharch for everyone who sees it, red can be the color for courage as easily as it can be the color of bleeding out. Ink mementos of neurological racing ends up as a map of the journeys our minds take. The color base of the projects leads to the organic creation of what each piece will become. Letting the watercolor run its course across the canvas is releasing one element and the next of detailed ink drawings embraces the meditative process of dealing with emotions.
